Youth Band
Could we start a youth band? Help us find young musicians.
A Request to the Pastor
Music carries us into worship in ways words alone cannot. We'd love to invite the Pastor to choose a special piece of music to be played each Sunday — a hymn, an anthem, or a quiet instrumental — to help gather our hearts before the message. If you have a song that has meant something to you, share it with the Pastor and it may be featured in an upcoming service.
This week's request — for Sunday, 6th June 2026:
Our Choir (or Lack of It)
For a season, our choir loft has been quieter than we'd like. We're asking the congregation: who would be interested in helping restart a choir at Peachtree Baptist? No audition required — just a willing heart and a love for singing together.
Here's what we're thinking:
- Take a vote to gauge interest across the congregation
- Choose hymns together — old favourites and a few new ones
- Hold choir practice once a month so it stays joyful, not heavy
- Sing on special Sundays through the year
If you'd like to add your voice, let one of the deacons or the Pastor know after the service.
A Youth Band?
We'd love to see our young people lead us in worship too. Could we start a youth band — guitars, keys, drums, voices — and give our students a place to use their gifts?
The question we're praying through:
- How do we attract young musicians from our church and community?
- Who could mentor and lead them week to week?
- When and where could they practice?
- How often might they lead in Sunday worship?
If you play an instrument, sing, or know a young musician who might, please get in touch. Every voice matters here.
